Research and Development Activities

The Programme

An indigenous, reconfigurable power-conversion platform — strengthening the dream of Make in India.

Our mission is to research, design, prototype, and help to commercialize an indigenous, reconfigurable power-conversion platform based on a unified control core — while fostering strong collaboration between academia and industry.

The platform enables applications across the product classes below, each carried from concept to commercialization within the Centre’s DSIR-recognized facility.

01

Solar Inverters

3 kW grid-tied solar inverter developed, tested, and submitted for BIS certification.

02

Battery Energy Storage Systems

Unityess: Advanced battery energy storage solution for peak shaving, backup power, and renewable energy integration.

03

EV Fast Chargers

Planned development of next-generation fast EV charging solutions with smart energy management capabilities.

04

Motor Drive

Solar pump controller with PMSM motor drive under development for high-efficiency agricultural pumping applications.

05

Solid-State Transformers

Future project focused on AI-enabled grid-forming solid-state transformer technology for resilient renewable energy systems.
